New Suspended feature, Bit.ly, Instagram Reels and Make service integration, and much more
Create exceptional emailsWe have almost crossed the equator of the year, and it’s time to take stock of this hot July. During this month, we managed to do a lot of things in Stripo, thereby improving the process of creating emails and making them even more accessible, thanks to various new integrations. Let’s dive into these changes.
Enhanced Version History tool
Recently, we rolled live one of our long-developed features: Version History. We continue to improve this functionality after its release, and we are pleased to present to you its necessary quality-of-life upgrade.
Now, this feature will preview exact content block changes and identify the user who made them.
New Suspended feature
We are expanding the management rights of company owners and administrators by making the management of a company by a large number of colleagues more flexible and convenient. This feature is useful if, for example, you have a subscription with the appropriate number of users but you need to invite one more or if you canceled your subscription for additional users. There is a strong need for an option for taking access from other users to free your precious team space.
That’s what this new feature called “Suspended” does — it allows you to select one of the users and give them this status in companies. The new feature allows you to make the invited user “Suspended” and invite a new one.
Integration with Bit.ly
No more long and unpretty links in your emails as we introduce our integration with the popular link shortening service, Bit.ly. We have added the function of shortening links right inside Stripo, but you first have to activate this function in the configuration parameters of the group. Then, this function will be available in the editor.
Webhook support for plugin customers
The Stripo plugin continues to be improved and extended, and this time, we have added Webhook support for plugin users.
This feature allows plugin users to receive a notification to the specified webhook URL every time the plugin is initialized, as to how many emails and timer views are left until the end of the billing period, making it easier and timelier for you to know when it’s necessary to increase your plan and limit accordingly.
Integration with Make service
The list of our integrations has been expanded with a new Make application, which is a popular platform for workflow automation that does not require coding skills. Our new integration allows you to export emails to this automation service using Make’s webhooks in a few clicks.
Small but important changes
The following changes are quite small; some of them are hidden under the hood of Stripo, but together, they represent a powerful improvement for Stripo, which we could not help but mention.
Re-export improvements
Our developers have done a lot of work to improve re-export functionalities for various email providers, like Optimove, Mailwizz, Pardot, and Mailgun. Each platform is unique, and we have considered all the nuances, so re-exporting now works flawlessly.
Module name display
Now, when hovering your mouse over a module, you can see its exact name, making it easier to distinguish modules from each other during the editing process.
Improved UI and experience on mobile devices
Our work on improving the Stripo experience on mobile devices continues, and this month, we worked on enhanced cursor indication during co-editing. We also updated the templates carousel and how it looks on mobile devices. Last but not least, we have eliminated many small UI issues on mobile devices that could spoil the overall flow of working with Stripo on these devices.
Instagram Reels thumbnails in video block
Over this month, we improved our work with Instagram Reels, and you can now conveniently add these videos to your emails and organically fit them into the design. Now, the video block can pull up thumbnails of Instagram Reels videos once you put the URL of the video into the block.
Near-future plans
It's time to talk about plans for the future and what we are actively working on now.
Custom roles
At the moment, user roles in Stripo are quite rigid and can be inconvenient if the user needs access to the functionality of several roles. This can lead to a trickier and more tedious process of setting up roles.
We are working on a solution to this problem in the form of custom role settings that will grant options for configuring functionality access within roles. We will also introduce the option of creating custom user roles to enable you to combine various functionalities as you see fit.
Timer block for the new editor
We are gradually transferring functionality and blocks from the old editor to the new one, and soon, you will be able to use the Timer block in your new editor arsenal.
Content and price changes for existing plans
We are working on changing the content and prices of our plans.
In the plugin, the price of additional Email ID for startups is now $0.50, and for businesses, $0.10. These changes already took effect on July 18.
In addition, for our pricing plans, the number of extra users of our editor will now have the following limits:
- Basic plan — maximum extra users are now limited to 3;
- Medium plan — maximum extra users are now limited to 9;
- Pro plan — maximum extra users are now limited to 30.
These changes will happen around August 1, but stay tuned for updates.
Wrapping up
July was a fruitful month: new integrations, the Suspended feature, an improved UI on mobile devices, and much more. Work on Stripo continues at full speed, and we can’t wait to release all that we’re working on right now. In the meantime, stay tuned for news to be the first to know about our innovations.
