Information we collect

If you are a visitor to the Stripo website or a client of the Stripo editor, except as otherwise provided below, this privacy policy governs your use of the Stripo website or editor.

At Stripo, we respect the rights of our users to privacy and recognize the importance of protecting the personal information we collect. Our privacy policy is designed to help you understand what information about you we collect, how we use it, and how we share it. This privacy policy applies to our websites and to the Stripo editor.

In this privacy policy, the terms “Stripo.email,” “we,” and “us” refer to the Stripo Inc. company. The term “Websites” refers to the Stripo.email websites (including, but not limited to, www.stripo.email, www.stripocdn.email, viewstripo.email, and any successor Uniform Resource Locators (URLs), related domains, and subdomains), and “Editor” refers to the Stripo email template editor in each case and in any current or future format offered. The Websites and Editor together are referred to herein as “Stripo.”

Information we collect

1. We collect the following types of information about you:

(a) Information you provide to us directly

During the registration of your account for using our Service or when corresponding with us, we may ask for certain information (e.g., your email address, first name, last name, photograph, preferred language, phone number, company name, website address, company logo, industry type, company contact information, social media information, and company location).

We also collect any messages you send to us through the Service and may gather information that you post within the Service (e.g., text and photos you upload for use in the editor). We use this information to operate, support, and provide you with the features and functionality of the Service, communicate with you, and address any issues regarding the Service.

If you choose not to provide us with your personal information, you may be unable to access or use our Service, and your experience using our Service may be less convenient.

(b) Information we receive from third parties

We may receive information about you from third parties, for example, if you access the Service through a third-party connection or sign-in. You should always review and, if necessary, modify the privacy settings on third-party websites before linking or connecting them to the Service. You can also disconnect your third-party account from the Service by changing the settings within the third-party service. If you disconnect your third-party account, we will no longer receive information collected about you in connection with that interaction. If you communicate with us through social media, such as Facebook, and share user-generated content with us, we may receive information such as videos created by you, your photograph, your account name, and your comments about our Service.

(c) Information we receive from other third parties

We may receive information about you from third parties, such as publicly available sources, social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other platforms), third-party data providers, and information services. Examples of information we may receive from such third parties include your company, company size, job title, work experience, industry, and other profile information. We may share your email address or other information to obtain and combine this information with the information you provide or other information we collect when you use our Service. We do this to better understand your profile and interests and to provide you with personalized offers and other services, such as delivering relevant email offers, chatbot interactions, phone communications, or personalized advertising. You can opt out of Stripo collecting more data about you from third-party providers to personalize your experience and the messages we send to you here.

Some of these providers may combine data collected from our Service through cookies, tags, and similar technologies with email or mailing addresses to which they have access to assist us in providing you with relevant offers.

(d) Information about cookies and similar technologies

When you visit Stripo, we (and our third-party partners) send cookies—small text files that contain a string of letters and numbers—to your computer, which uniquely identify your browser and allow us to help you log in faster, improve website navigation, remember your preferences, and enhance the overall user experience. Cookies also provide information about how you use the Service (such as pages you view, links you click, and other actions you take within the Service) and allow us or our business partners to track your use of the Service over time. They also enable us to measure traffic and usage trends of the Service, provide personalized advertising that may interest you, measure its effectiveness, and discover potential new users of the Service.

You can control or reset cookies and similar technologies through your web browser, allowing you to customize your cookie settings and opt out of all cookies or specify when a cookie is being sent. However, some features of the Service may not function properly if the ability to accept cookies is disabled.

(e) Information about log files

Information about log files is automatically reported by your browser or mobile device each time you access the Service. When you use the Service, our servers automatically record certain information about log files. These server logs may contain anonymous information, such as your web request, browser type, referring/exit pages and URLs, number of clicks, how you interact with links within the editor, domain names, landing pages, viewed pages, and other similar information.

(f) Payment information

When purchasing our Services, we also collect transaction information that may include details about your credit card, payment address, and other payment-related information, such as your PayPal account data, transaction ID, and invoice details. When purchasing using your bank card, any information you provide regarding your credit card is collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe, using the Stripe Checkout service. We never receive and/or store complete information about your credit card. Stripe is committed to complying with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards. Stripe may use information about your payments in accordance with its privacy policy, which is described here: https://stripe.com/us/checkout/legal.

2. Customer information

You may provide Stripo with various types of information and data for storage and processing (“Customer Information”). Customer information may include but is not limited to: (a) HTML source code for imported and/or newly created email templates in the Stripo editor for further editing and exporting, (b) information contained within created email templates until they are deleted, and (c) images uploaded to the hosting server for future use in created email templates using Stripo.

How we use collected information

We use the information we collect about you for the purposes outlined below:

(a) For providing you with the Service

We use the information you directly provide to us to deliver the Service to you. This includes enabling access to the editor, managing and maintaining the Service, granting you access to your created emails, issuing invoices for transactions you make through the Service, and providing any other requested features (including certain additional functionalities, such as the AI assistant integrated into the Stripo editor). We also use the information we collect about you automatically to avoid you having to re-enter it during your subsequent visits to the website.

(b) For data analysis and forecasting

We use information about you to improve the Service and interactions with our users, including tracking aggregate metrics such as total visitors, traffic, and demographic patterns. We may analyze content, media file uploads, and activity in your account (e.g., photos and search terms) to provide and customize the Service. We may analyze search terms and related interaction data with search results to build an algorithm for providing the most relevant design outcome.

(c) For communication regarding the Service

We use your contact information to communicate with you and send messages about critical aspects of the Service. For example, we may send you emails about technical issues, security alerts, or administrative matters.

(d) For promoting and encouraging interaction with the Service

We use your contact information to reach out to you regarding your participation in our surveys or regarding features and offers that we believe may interest you. We also use the information we gather about you to ensure that you receive the most relevant promotions and offers based on your usage of the Service and your preferences. You can opt out of these communications, as described below.

(e) For Service improvement

We analyze information about your usage of the Service and your content to better understand how users interact with our Service and to measure its effectiveness. This allows us to refine and develop our services for our users.

(f) For advertising purposes

We use information about you, including information about cookies and other information that we (and our third-party partners) automatically collect from you regarding your use of the Service for maintaining, personalizing, and measuring the effectiveness of advertisements on the Service and third-party websites and platforms. This includes displaying advertisements that we believe may interest you, as well as showing advertisements to potential new users with similar interests.

(g) For providing, supporting, and improving the Stripo editor

We use information about you, the information we collect from your account, and information about your interactions with the Support Service to address technical issues you may encounter with the Service and to guarantee that we can restore and enhance the Service for all users.

(h) For security reasons

We use information about you and from your account to monitor actions that we deem suspicious or potentially fraudulent, as well as to detect violations of this privacy policy.

Sharing information with third parties

We do not sell, exchange, or transfer your personal information to third parties, except in the cases specified below:

  • We may share your personal information with our parent and subsidiary companies, as well as affiliates.
  • We may disclose your personal information if we firmly believe that access, use, retention, or disclosure of this information is justified and necessary for (a) compliance with any applicable law, regulatory process, or government enforcement request; (b) enforcing the Customer Agreement, including investigating potential violations; or (c) protecting against imminent harm to our rights, property, or safety, as well as the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public, as required or permitted by law.
  • We may disclose your personal information to third parties (including our service providers and government entities) for fraud detection and prevention, security, and technical issues.
  • We may provide your payment information to process your payments.
  • We may disclose your personal information to third parties if you consent to us doing so.
  • We may showcase information about collaborations with a brand or company, including displaying their logo, without disclosing confidential data, information about the collaboration’s specifics, and personal or payment information.

We may disclose any of your personal and private data and/or any information about you, the services used, and/or actions taken by you to supervisory, law enforcement, or other competent authorities at our discretion in case we detect any attempts on your part to engage in unlawful actions regulated as violations of the current legislation (including, but not limited to, attempts to disseminate pornography; propagate war; and incite national, regional, racial, or religious enmity and hatred).

We may also share aggregated or anonymized information with third parties for other purposes. This type of information does not personally identify you but may include usage, viewing, and technical attributes, such as devices from which Stripo users and clients access the platform, computer settings, and performance indicators related to Stripo usage that we collect through our technology. If required by applicable law, we will consider this information personal. In such a case, we will disclose it as described above. Otherwise, we may disclose this information for any reason.

Other access and disclosure of your information

Stripo may contain links to third-party websites. This privacy policy applies solely to the information collected by us. Even if a third-party website has partnerships or other relationships with us, we are not responsible for what they do with confidential information. We recommend that you review the privacy policies of third-party websites to fully understand how they process the personal information they collect about you. Please note that while using Stripo, we do not notify you when you navigate to another website through a link.

Websites allow users to write reviews, leave comments, or contribute other content that is publicly accessible. We want to make you aware that any personal information you provide as part of a post may be collected or even used by other visitors to the website to send you unsolicited messages.

Advertisements

We collaborate with third-party ad servers, advertising networks, and social media platforms (such as Facebook, Google, and others) to provide personalized advertisements (“Ads”) on our Service and other websites that may be of interest to you, to measure their effectiveness, and/or to identify potential new users of our Service.

Stripo may share certain information with our third-party advertising partners, such as your email address, location, information about cookies, and information related to your use of our Service, and allow partners to match your information with information from other third-party networks or websites to display ads on the Service or on third-party websites and measure the effectiveness of these advertisements.

In addition, these third-party ad servers or ad networks may use technology to send personalized ads and ad links directly to your web browser or mobile device, and they will automatically receive your IP address when they do so. They may also use other technologies (such as cookies, JavaScript, device identifiers, and location data) to gather information about your browser or device visits and usage patterns of the Service, as well as to measure the effectiveness of their advertising and personalize ad content. Please review our cookie policy for additional information on how we and our third-party partners use cookies and other technologies to deliver ads to you.

Please note that advertisers may ask Stripo to show ads to a specific audience of users on the Service (for example, based on demographic characteristics or other interests). If you respond to such an ad, the advertiser or ad server may conclude that you fit the description of the audience they are trying to reach.

Stripo’s privacy policy does not apply to third-party advertisers, and we cannot control their activities. Please review the relevant privacy policies of such advertisers or contact them for additional information.

Your controls and choices

Opt-Outs. We may provide you with the opportunity to opt out of processing your personal information for the purposes we set forth at the time of information collection. If you choose to opt out, we may not be able to provide you with certain Stripo services.

Blocking cookies. You can delete or block certain cookies in your browser settings. However, this action may impact the proper functioning of Stripo.

Our response to “Do not track” signals. Your browser settings may allow you to activate the “Do not track” feature. When this feature is active, your browser sends an HTTP file or a “Do not track” signal to all the websites you visit. Currently, Stripo does not respond to such “Do not track” signals.

Access and updating of your personal information

When you use Stripo, we make significant efforts to provide you with access to your personal information upon request or to give you a way to edit this information if it contains inaccuracies. We also provide the option to delete your information upon request if, by law, it is not required to be retained or applied for legitimate business purposes. You can access, view, edit, update, or delete your information at any time by writing to contact@stripo.email, specifying your name and the action you wish to perform with your information, whether it’s viewing, editing, updating, or deleting. If you use the Service, log in to your account, go to the “Profile” menu, and make the desired changes. We reserve the right to reject requests that are systematically repeated without justification, require excessive technical effort (e.g., requests for information stored on backup media), jeopardize the confidentiality of other users, are highly impractical, or do not require access.

In all cases where we provide access and the ability to edit information, we do so entirely free of charge, except in cases where excessive effort is required.

If necessary, we may retain your information that supports Stripo, complies with our legal obligations, or resolves disputes. Please note that the content you publish may remain in Stripo, even if you stop using it or if we terminate or restrict your access to Stripo.
