We continue to expand the functionality of our modules and make them more user-friendly, ensuring the smoothest email creation experience possible. This time, the latest addition is a feature called Keep Module Styles. It may seem simple, but it's much more important than it seems at first glance and will now save you even more time and effort when using modules.

What is it and how was it before?

Previously, the styles applied when creating a module weren't carried over when reusing that module in a different template. This was a conscious decision when designing all of the modules' functionality, and it works from a design perspective: when you create an email layout, set its styles, and finalize its overall look, you expect the modules to also be in the styles of your new template when you add them. This is how it used to work before.

What changed with the Keep Module Styles feature?

We haven't forgotten about those who want modules to be exactly as you intended, regardless of the template you use them in. As of now, you can save your modules with all the styles you've applied without having to manipulate the code, manually checking whether you saved that fancy font inline, and never realizing you didn't save the styles after using the module in another template. Saving styles is now a simple, one-click process.

The entire feature fits into one small toggle, which now occupies its own place in the module saving panel. The entire process is the same as you're used to.

Hover over the element you want to save as a module and click Save as Module. In the saving window, you'll see a dedicated Keep Module Styles toggle. Simply click it to enable this setting. When the control is ON, it inlines (basically, your styles are written using the style attribute within the code) global design styles that are applied in the email message directly into the module's HTML upon saving. This ensures a consistent visual appearance when the module is reused across other email messages.

Important note: This feature is OFF by default.

After that, save the module as you usually do, and you're done.

Here’s how it works in practice: We’ve added our saved module with this option enabled to our basic template with a pre-defined background color, and added right below our test module with this feature disabled. As you can see, the module below inherits the background color, while our first module stays the same.

Wrapping up

Now you have a new, more convenient way to save your module styles and make sure that they stay the same no matter which email template you want to use your module in. This feature makes your life as an email marketer a bit easier, saving precious time in a pretty complex and time-consuming process, such as email design.
