Feedback gathering is a necessary process if you want to become better. However, emails are often just a bridge between the recipient and the feedback form. A few years ago, we conducted research with a custom email campaign that consisted of an interactive rating system. The results were astonishing, as emails with this type of content generated a 520% higher response rate. Since then, many of our users asked how to make a similar interactive element.
It's time to upgrade your emails with interactivity, and at the same time, you do not need technical knowledge. We present to you the addition of our Interactive module generator with a new mechanic — Product review.
How can you use the Product review module for your email campaigns?
The main goal of this module is to provide a convenient interaction process for the marketer and the recipient during the feedback collection. The topics and things you can collect feedback on are limited only by your imagination because you can:
- collect post-purchase feedback;
- find out how you can improve your product and how well it currently meets the needs of the audience;
- test new features, events, promotions and find out what your recipients think about it;
- and much more.
This valuable feedback consists of a 5-star grade and a feedback form for a more detailed review. As a result, you can have a better understanding of what your audience likes or dislikes.
How to generate an interactive Product review module
Now it’s time to show you how you can easily create your own Product review module using our straightforward generator.
Step 1. Add your link to the image and title
First of all, you need to set an image for your product review form. You can add here your product photo or something that fits the theme of your brand and product review you request. Simple, just paste a link to a desired image in the respective field.
Important note: The uploaded image must be in PNG, JPG, or GIF format. Furthermore, the file size should not be larger than 3 MB, and the dimensions should not exceed 4,000 × 4,000 pixels.
Once it’s done, add a title for your product review. This is the main question you want to get the answer to and it helps to describe what exactly you want your recipients to rate and review.
Step 2. Add desired labels to extremums (optional)
If you want to make your product review module clearer, you can set custom extremums to the review scale. Simply click on the switch and add the desired text in the corresponding field.

Step 3. Add a message to the feedback field (optional)
By default, the feedback form has no text in it. However, you can add a support text that will be placed within the form and act as a hint for the recipient on what you want to hear from them in their feedback text. To add this text, click a switch and add the needed text to the corresponding field.
Your text will look like this in the feedback form. Don’t worry, it will disappear once the recipient starts typing their feedback.
Step 4. Name your Submit button
The Submit button is vital for sending the review and feedback, so you can set a custom name to it by simply adding text to the corresponding field.
Step 5. Set up a completion screen
The completion screen appears once the feedback is submitted. You can customize it to match your style and needs using several options.
Add an image (optional)
If you want to add an image, you can choose from three default options or download your own by clicking on the “Plus” button and adding a link to the desired image.

Set a title to your completion message
The title is also a part of the completion message that recipients will see once they submit their feedback. You can leave a needed message or say thank you to your recipients by adding a text to this field.
Add a description (optional)
You can also add a description to your completion screen with a message that you want to share. Add the necessary text to the form below. You can tweak the text by choosing the paragraph style and font size, formatting the text (bold, italic, and underline), and adding links or emojis.
Add a completion button (optional)
The completion button is an optional feature, but if you want to continue interaction with your recipients, you can add it to the module and set a needed link to it. Click a switch to open button settings, add a needed name and link and you are good to go.

Step 6. Сonnect your data service to track who of your subscribers rated your product
It’s all about gathering feedback, so you need a dedicated place to store it. Collect valuable data by adding a data service link that you can create in Stripo to easily download the relevant data from your product review.

Step 7. Add merge tags (optional)
To make your Product review module more personalized, you can optionally add merge tags. Merge tags allow you to easily add names to your poll by inputting them into the corresponding fields.
You can add several merge tags by clicking on the green button with a plus sign. To delete tags, click on the trash bin icon on the tag that you wish to remove.

Step 8. Customize styles
Now it’s time to make your Product review module stylish. We provide you with several options to tweak how your module looks.
First of all, you can choose an icon grade style from four different options.
They are not only different in shape and overall colors but also in how they are colored once the recipient hovers and clicks on them.
You can also tweak the overall appearance with different text colors and font sizes.
We haven't forgotten about the submit button; you can also customize its appearance by changing the text color, button background color, and radius.
The last but not least is the completion button. Tweak its looks by customizing its text and background color, as well as its radius.
Prepared module examples you can use

These templates have different styles according to their themes. They are filled with the needed content and buttons. Step 9. Download the game
There are two simple ways to download the Product review module you created:
- if you are a Stripo user, you can save the game as a module in your library and use it right away;
- if you are not a Stripo user, you can save the code separately, as we provide you an email with all the game versions you may need.
Saving the game as a module in Stripo is simple, since you have to be logged in and click “Save.”
The module will be automatically added to your module library in the “My Modules” folder.
If you are not a registered Stripo user, leave your email in the respective field to receive an email with all the code versions. Just click on the needed button in the email to download HTML code or JSON to operate with them later.
All the games that you create in our generator are designed to work for all email clients. Where the email client does not support interactivity (e.g., Outlook), recipients will see a fallback version that simulates interactivity while they interact with it, transferring them to the web version of the email. As a result, all recipients experience interactivity to the same degree. At the same time, you do not lose the ability to track the performance of the web version.
All of these features are due to the fact that our generator provides you with a game module that contains the following:
- an AMP version of your email that works in Gmail, Yahoo, and FairEmail;
- an interactive fallback that works on all devices and with all email clients that support HTML5 and CSS3 (it also works in Apple Mail and Samsung Email);
- a text fallback version that works with email clients that do not support HTML5 or CSS3, such as some Outlook apps.

An interactive product review module is a great way to gather needed feedback on your services. Its main advantage is that all actions take place inside the email. The recipient does not need to follow unnecessary links or fill out third-party documents and forms in other windows. They simply open the email, rate your services, write a text review, and that's it.
