Module management 2.0: More convenient, more manageable, more everything
The more modules you use in your email design process, the larger your library becomes and the more difficult it becomes to navigate. Precious design time is spent sorting and navigating the library, while the need for convenience grows.
Not long ago, we introduced a dedicated modules tab in your Account to simplify module management and make email design even smoother. Today, we're taking it a step further and introducing Module management 2.0: a whole pack of features designed to expand the current management functionality, making it more convenient for marketers with large module libraries. We are here to show you the pre-built modules tab, bulk tagging, grouping by category, and more convenient shared modules. So, without further ado, let's dive in.
New module design option and the Pre-built tab
Let’s start with the way you create modules. In previous Stripo versions, you had three options for creating that orbited around our main email hierarchy: from stripe, from structure, and from the container.

But not everyone has the time to create modules from scratch. Or inspiration for the right design doesn't always strike. Meanwhile, deadlines are looming, and you need an email right now. In Module management 2.0, you'll have a fourth way to create modules: using pre-built modules.

Clicking this option will take you to the Pre-built tab, where all the modules created by our designers are stored. Simply select the one you like, click it, and you'll be immediately taken to the editor, where you can edit it as you wish.

Besides that, this tab is always available to you and has all the necessary features for convenient navigation, like search by name and various search filters to narrow down the results (Category, Tags, Type).

Bulk tagging and adding categories
So, you've created a bunch of modules and want to quickly find the one you need, without getting lost in all the variety. Our module management tool already includes the functionality to assign modules to the necessary categories for better cataloging. But what if you have 20, 30, or 50 modules that could all fit into a single category? Manually opening each module and assigning a category is a waste of valuable time and, well, just monotonous.

That’s where our Module management 2.0 comes into play. We've added the ability to assign desired categories and tags to multiple modules at once. Like any multiple action, simply select the required modules, and you'll immediately see the Edit tags & category button.

By clicking on it, you will see a small tab where you can add the necessary tags to the selected modules and assign them a category from the drop-down list.

Grouping modules by category
So, you've organized your module library, giving each one a category, a suitable name, tags, and so on. Finding the right module shouldn't be difficult, and it is not. The last step is to properly group the library so you can clearly see how many modules there are in each category and which modules should be added to your most frequently used ones. For this purpose, we've added category grouping. The sorting interface now features a separate Group by Categories option.

Without this option, your module library looks like this. It's just all the modules lumped together, which you can sort by creation date, modification date, and name.

By activating category grouping, you get a neat library divided into sections by similar categories, so you can clearly see which modules belong to which without having to manually check each module.

Additionally, when browsing, you can hide certain categories by clicking the arrow next to the category name.

Shared modules tab
In our modules management update, we introduced you to the sharing feature, which allows you to share your created modules between projects. However, there is no convenient way to sort shared modules from your own created modules for this project, which may be confusing. So here we are with a solution. Here’s your new Shared tab, where all shared modules are stored and displayed.

Initially, you can’t see this tab if you have no shared modules with this project, but once you share one, this tab will appear.

Besides that, you have sorting features to keep your shared library clean. Sort your shared modules by date created, date modified, and name.

Module export (coming soon)
There’s also another feature on the way, which is a module export. We implement it so you can export your module HTML code as a full-fledged HTML file or simply copy it to your clipboard. You will also have options to include or exclude the CSS from the exported files, minimize HTML if needed, activate support for accessibility code, and set the image path if you want to store images on your devices. All these features can help you see what’s under the hood of each of your modules, and you can use HTML files to make changes to the code, tweaking each module the way you need in the code editors you prefer.
Wrapping up
These features may seem small and insignificant individually, but together they represent a major upgrade to module-based email design processes. Now you can not only manage large module libraries more easily but also create new modules faster based on our team's designs. We continue to develop module functionality, and there's plenty more news and updates to come, so stay tuned.
