About Korsit

Email teams would like to experiment with interactive emails, but making them happen is often another story. Interactive campaigns can require additional technical resources, specialized skills, or development support, which makes them difficult to fit into an already busy production process.

In this case study, Marie Seen, CRM & email automation specialist at dundle, one of Korsit’s brands, shares how she uses Stripo to create interactive email campaigns independently. You'll learn how Stripo fits into its automated production workflow and what impact interactive campaigns can have on customer engagement.

About Korsit

Korsit is the parent company behind two digital commerce brands, dundle and PrepaidForge. Through these brands, it provides digital prepaid solutions and gift card distribution for consumers and businesses worldwide. At dundle, the company's B2C brand, customers can instantly purchase digital products such as prepaid cards, gaming vouchers, gift cards, mobile top-ups, and subscription products.

Email marketing plays a central role in Korsit's customer communication strategy. The company uses it throughout the customer lifecycle, from onboarding and activation to retention and re-engagement. Beyond automated lifecycle campaigns, email also supports promotions, personalized offers, and initiatives designed to strengthen customer loyalty and encourage repeat purchases.

Challenge: Build a scalable email production process while creating engaging campaigns

When Marie Seen joined Korsit as CRM and Email Automation Specialist for dundle, she faced a significant challenge. She had to build the company's email channel from the ground up, including the email technology stack, opt-in flows, templates, and production processes.

To support both daily email operations and future growth, she needed an email creation solution that was fast, easy to use, and scalable. Speed of production and ease of use were especially important, as the goal was to create an efficient workflow without adding unnecessary complexity.

Marie also wanted to experiment with interactive email campaigns. Interactive elements such as quizzes, gamified experiences, and product carousels can make campaigns more engaging and encourage subscribers to spend more time interacting with emails.

At Korsit, the objective was not simply to create emails faster. The company needed a solution that would make interactive campaigns achievable with existing resources and allow the team to bring creative ideas to life without relying on additional technical support.

Solution: Choosing a tool built for speed and independent email production

When building Korsit's email channel, Marie had a clear set of requirements for an email creation platform. The team needed a solution that would support fast production, be easy to work with on a daily basis, and scale as email operations grew.

These priorities were shaped by experience. Marie first discovered Stripo in 2018 while searching for a replacement for an outdated email CMS.

For email creation, I needed something fast, easy, and scalable, and Stripo clearly fits that description. I started looking around on Google and tested a few tools like Chamaileon, BeeFree, and Stripo. Stripo just felt the most intuitive and easy to work with right away, and it matched what our team needed at that moment.

Because production speed and ease of use were the most important criteria, the decision was straightforward. Having used Stripo successfully for years, Marie already trusted the platform and was confident it could support both regular email production and more advanced campaigns.

That confidence became especially important when the team started exploring interactive emails. Rather than evaluating a new set of specialized tools, Korsit could use a platform already part of its workflow that provides the capabilities needed to create and test interactive campaigns independently.

After using Stripo for nearly eight years at multiple companies, Marie considers it an essential part of her email marketing toolkit rather than an optional addition. For Korsit, this meant having a familiar platform that could support efficient production today while also making more creative email experiences possible when needed.

Workflow: Combining teamwork, automation, and independent email production

One of the reasons Korsit chose Stripo was the ability to build an efficient email creation process that could be integrated into email marketing automation.

The process of running an email campaign in Korsit looks like this:

  1. CRM Specialist briefs the content team and collects campaign ideas.
  2. The content team creates multilingual copy in a spreadsheet with a specific structure.
  3. Once the copy is ready, an n8n automation flow is triggered, automatically building the email in Stripo using predefined modules and templates.
  4. CRM Specialist reviews the email in Stripo, applies final formatting changes, and performs quality checks.
  5. The completed email is exported to Customer.io as HTML.

Note from Stripo: You can automate your email production workflow with platforms such as Zapier, Make, and n8n, moving this content through the workflow and connecting it to Stripo for template assembly. All this is possible with Stripo API.

This workflow is especially valuable because it allows Korsit to maintain a collaborative process without making email production dependent on multiple technical specialists. Different teams can contribute ideas and content, while the actual email implementation remains efficient and manageable.

Interactive email strategy at Korsit: Using interactivity where it creates the most impact

The actual creation and implementation of interactive emails is currently a one-woman show, handled by me as the CRM Specialist. Stripo makes that possible because I can build and test these kinds of emails without needing developer support.

The goal of interactive emails for Korsit is simple: turn emails that might otherwise be overlooked into campaigns customers want to interact with.

For interactive campaigns, Marie primarily relies on Stripo's ready-made interactive modules and custom template requests when a campaign requires something more specific. The company also maintains a reusable product carousel module, which can be adapted for campaigns where showcasing multiple products is a priority.

I'm still exploring all the different interactive options Stripo offers, but so far I've found the Interactive module generator especially useful.

Besides that, Stripo’s widgets lets users control interactive modules through chat, while the technical layer still delivers reliable, email-safe HTML. The result is a faster path from component idea to working email module.

Rather than adding interactivity to every email, Korsit uses it selectively for campaigns where engagement is the primary goal. This approach allows the team to introduce more creative experiences while keeping everyday email production efficient and scalable.

So far, the team has used three types of email interactivity:

  • a gamified Advent Calendar campaign to encourage subscriptions. The concept was as follows: During the three weeks leading up to Christmas, Korsit sent out an "Advent Calendar" in which recipients could open a window to find out if they had won a weekly prize. Over the course of three weeks, there were multiple winners. Subscriptions increased by 34%;

  • an April Fools quiz that added a playful, interactive experience for subscribers. At dundle, they help people stay safe online by raising awareness of fraud and identity theft. The quiz allowed readers to test their knowledge of online security. This newsletter generated 50% more clicks than the average CTR;

  • an interactive product carousel presented several products in a customer-friendly format. The email has numerous merge tags, and the carousel images use dynamic content to highlight specific recommendations for each customer. The team used this example to test how an interactive email would work within an automated flow, such as a repeat-purchase campaign.

Although each campaign used a different type of interactive element, they all supported the same business goal: to increase engagement among subscribers and customers.

For Korsit, interactive emails are not intended to replace standard HTML campaigns. They are an additional tool for campaigns where increasing engagement is the priority. This targeted approach allows the team to experiment with more engaging email experiences while keeping its production process efficient and scalable.

Results and impact: Building an efficient email production process with Stripo

After implementing Stripo, Korsit established an email production process that supports both day-to-day campaigns and interactive email experiences. By combining standardized workflows, automation, and Stripo's email builder, the company efficiently manages multilingual email production while giving its CRM Specialist the flexibility to create engaging campaigns independently.

Key results:

  1. Built an email channel from the ground up: Stripo became the foundation for creating emails that are fast to build, easy to manage, and scalable as the email program grows.
  2. Established a streamlined production workflow: The team combined structured content creation, n8n automation, Stripo templates and modules, and Customer.io into a repeatable process. This allows them to keep email production organized and efficient.
  3. Enabled independent email creation: Although campaign ideas come from different specialists, implementation is currently handled by one CRM Specialist. Stripo allows Marie to build, edit, test, and export emails without relying on developer support.
  4. Made interactive emails a practical part of the workflow: Instead of requiring additional technical resources, interactive campaigns can now be created using Stripo's ready-made interactive modules or custom template requests.
  5. Improved engagement with interactive campaigns: While interactive emails are reserved for select campaigns rather than everyday use, Korsit has seen higher engagement, including slightly higher click rates than its standard HTML emails.

Wrapping up

For Korsit, interactive emails are not something used in every campaign. They are a strategic addition for moments when the team wants to capture attention, encourage engagement, and create a more memorable customer experience.

By using Stripo, the company has made interactive email campaigns a realistic part of its marketing toolkit without adding developer resources or introducing complexity into its production process. At the same time, Stripo supports the fast, scalable workflow Marie needed when building the email channel from the ground up.
